M&M's passenger vehicle portfolio consists entirely of SUVs, including a compact variant. With exports included, total passenger vehicle sales amounted to 54,860 units.
The company sold 22,989 commercial vehicles in April, up from 22,102 units a year ago. In the farm equipment sector, Mahindra sold 38,516 tractors domestically in April, an 8% on-year growth. Exports of tractors stood at 1,538 units, up 25% on year. Overall, the company sold 40,054 tractors, marking an 8% growth compared to the previous year.
"The harvest season is progressing very well and is expected to conclude shortly. Bolstered by the Chaitra Navratri festival in the first week of April, retail momentum is very strong," said Hemant Sikka, president of Mahindra’s farm equipment sector. "This is well supported by good crop prices and high procurement at Mandis, leading to good cash flows with farmers," Sikka added.
The weather department has predicted above-normal southwest monsoon for India in 2025-26, which Mahindra said is hugely positive for the overall agricultural economy and the tractor industry
