IREDA Secures $0.2 Billion ECB Facility from SMBC

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has signed an external commercial borrowing (ECB) facility agreement worth JPY 28.0 billion, equivalent to around $0.2 billion, with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.

The agreement was executed on March 30 and includes a green shoe option of JPY 12.0 billion.

The company said the funding has been raised under the ECB route and aligns with its financing strategy for renewable energy projects.

IREDA has submitted the required disclosures under SEBI regulations, with detailed terms of the transaction shared separately.
