Bajaj Auto Launches Electric Three-Wheeler With Highest Driving Range in Segment

Bajaj Auto has announced the launch of the Bajaj WEGO P9018, positioning it as India’s largest electric three-wheeler with the biggest battery capacity and the highest driving range, according to a company press release.

The WEGO P9018 is equipped with a 17.7 kWh battery which drives a certified range of 296 kms, the company said. The vehicle is designed to carry more passengers and luggage over medium to longer distances. 

Bajaj Auto said the WEGO P9018 comes equipped with an upgraded Battery Management System (BMS) and enhanced regenerative braking, designed to improve efficiency and extend the vehicle’s usable range. The electric three-wheeler also features a two-speed transmission and offers 36% gradability, enabling better performance on inclines. Additionally, the company is providing a five-year warranty to ensure reliable operation across diverse conditions.

Speaking on the launch, Samardeep Subandh, President of the Intra-City Business Unit at Bajaj Auto Ltd, said: “WEGO is a great fit for India’s urban, semi-urban, and rural markets, which need large carrying capacity three-wheelers with long range.”
