Vodafone Idea Denies Receiving Government Communication on Relief

Vodafone Idea said on Tuesday it has not received any communication from the government regarding the absence of further relief for its dues. The clarification followed a CNBC-TV18 report quoting Minister of State for Communications Chandra S. Pemmasani as saying no additional support would be provided.

The minister referred to the 2021 relief package, under which nearly ₹530 billion of dues were converted into government equity, giving the Centre a 49% stake in the company.
