Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. Friday said it will establish a new artificial intelligence experience zone and design studio in London to foster innovation and strengthen client collaboration across the UK.
As part of the initiative, the company plans to create 5,000 new jobs across the region over the next three years, it said in a press release.
The upcoming AI experience zone and design studio — TCS’ second such hub after its New York Design Studio — will deepen the company’s partnership with the UK economy, the release added.
During 2023–2024, TCS contributed 3.3 billion pound sterling, or about ₹389 billion, to the UK economy. The new AI zone will support the company’s innovation ecosystem in collaboration with partners, academia, and startups across the country.
TCS has generated about 42,700 job opportunities in the UK directly and indirectly, with 15,300 employees engaged in technology roles such as engineering and data analytics. The skill shortage in these areas is estimated to cost the UK economy 1.5 billion pound sterling (around ₹177 billion) annually, the company said.
In 2023-2024, TCS contributed over 780 million pound sterling (about ₹91.9 billion) in taxes to the UK exchequer — equivalent to the annual salaries of more than 20,400 teachers, the release added.
