Sarda Energy Arm Ends Power Supply Pact With Chhattisgarh Discom 

Sarda Energy & Minerals Ltd. on Friday said its subsidiary, Madhya Bharat Power Corp. Ltd., has terminated its long-term power purchase agreement with Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Co. Ltd. due to the latter's non-compliance with contractual terms.

The agreement was for supplying electricity from Madhya Bharat Power's 113 MW Rongnichu Hydropower Project.

In a filing with the exchanges, Sarda Energy said the decision was made in the company's long-term interest and was taken in line with the termination provisions under the contract.
