RVNL Wins ₹1.16 Billion Railway Electrification Order

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. on Thursday said it had received a letter of intent from Central Railway for a ₹1.16 billion order to upgrade the electric traction system.

The project involves modifying the existing 1x25 KV electric traction system to a 2x25 KV feeding system in the Itarsi–Amla section of the Nagpur Division, the company said in an exchange filing.

The contract is expected to be completed within 24 months.
