RBL Bank Appoints Kumar Ashish To Lead Retail Assets; Strengthens Retail Team

RBL Bank has named Kumar Ashish as president and head of retail assets and collections, effective Wednesday, as part of a broader move to strengthen its retail banking vertical.

The lender also appointed Himanshu Mishra as national head of branch banking. Mishra will report to the president and head of branch banking and retail liabilities, the bank said in a regulatory filing.

The appointments are part of the bank’s strategy to accelerate growth in retail banking, it said.

Following the changes, Kamal Sabhlok, who leads secured lending and microfinance, Sujit Ghalsasi, head of vehicle finance, and Prabakaran S, who oversees rural business, business banking, and priority sector lending, will now report to Kumar Ashish instead of the executive director.
