Rail Vikas Emerges Lowest Bidder For ₹1.43 billion Railways project

Rail Vikas Nigam said it has emerged as the lowest bidder for a ₹1.43 billion project to upgrade the electric traction system for the Salem–Podanur and Irugur–Coimbatore–Podanur sections under Southern Railway.

The project, aimed at supporting a loading target of 3,000 million tonnes, is expected to be completed within two years, the company said in an exchange filing on Friday.
