Power Grid Wins Bid for Transmission Project in Karnataka

Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd. has been declared the successful bidder to develop an inter-state transmission system project at Davanagere in Karnataka, the company said in an exchange filing Wednesday.

The state-run transmission utility said it has received a letter of intent under tariff-based competitive bidding for the project, which will be executed on a build, own, operate and transfer basis.

The project involves augmentation works at an under-construction sub-station in Davanagere, aimed at strengthening the inter-state power transmission network and supporting the growing electricity demand in the region.
