Minda Corp. Ltd. on Wednesday said it has signed a joint venture agreement with Japan-based Toyodenso Co. Ltd. to manufacture and sell advanced automotive switches in India.

The new joint venture will be set up as a separate entity, with Minda holding 60% and Toyodenso the remaining 40%, the company said in an exchange filing.

The company will develop, manufacture, market, and trade automotive switches for two-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and other segments. Toyodenso will grant the venture exclusive rights to its proprietary technology and technical know-how required for product development and manufacturing.

A greenfield facility will be set up in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and is expected to start operations in the second half of 2026–2027. The JV has already secured orders from customers in India, Minda said.

The partnership will combine Toyodenso’s technology and engineering with Minda’s local manufacturing and supply chain capabilities to deliver end-to-end solutions for the domestic market.
