Lodha Group on Monday announced that brothers Abhishek and Abhinandan Lodha have “amicably” resolved all outstanding disputes with the support and guidance of their parents, the family said in a joint statement.

The dispute between the parties was primarily related to the intellectual property rights on ‘Lodha’ and ‘Lodha Group’ brand names.
Under the terms of the settlement, Macrotech Developers led by Abhishek Lodha, will continue to have exclusive rights to the 'Lodha' and 'Lodha Group' brand names. While Abhinandan Lodha holds exclusive rights to the 'House of Abhinandan Lodha' brand.

The entities also clarified in their statement that they are independent and unrelated, and will publicly acknowledge this separation. They have mutually relinquished all rights and claims in each other’s businesses.

For nearly three months, a dispute persisted between the Lodha brothers and their respective companies over the use of the ‘Lodha’ and ‘Lodha Group’ brand names. Macrotech Developers, led by elder brother Abhishek Lodha, had filed a case in the Bombay High Court seeking to restrain Abhinandan and the real estate companies under his management from using the two brand names, according to media reports.

Today, shares of Lodha were at ₹1,214, up 8% from Friday’s close. Financial markets remained closed on Monday due to Ambedkar Jayanti.
