L&T Bags 'Major' Orders For Power T&D Projects In India, West Asia

Larsen & Toubro Ltd. on Tuesday said its power transmission and distribution business has secured 'major' orders worth between ₹50 billion and ₹100 billion. The company received orders for new grid infrastructure projects both in India and overseas, it said in an exchange filing.

Domestically, the business won contracts to build 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines for integrating a renewable energy zone in Andhra Pradesh. In West Asia, L&T bagged orders for the turnkey execution of 220 kV and 132 kV gas-insulated substations. These international orders come from leading transmission asset owners and operators in the region.
