KPIT Acquires Caresoft’s Engineering Solutions Business To Deepen Auto OEM Ties

KPIT Technologies Ltd. has acquired the Engineering Solutions business of Caresoft Global as part of its strategy to offer integrated mobility solutions and strengthen its presence in key global markets.

The acquisition is expected to bring multi-dimensional synergies, particularly in the commercial vehicle space and in China, where Caresoft has strong relationships with original equipment manufacturers and suppliers, the company said in an exchange filing.

Caresoft, renowned for its automotive benchmarking and cost-reduction expertise, is restructuring into three business units: benchmarking and cost optimisation, engineering talent solutions, and engineering solutions; the latter now acquired by KPIT.

The deal will help KPIT tap into Caresoft’s teardown and cost benchmarking capabilities across hundreds of vehicle models, which have led to significant savings for original equipment manufacturers and suppliers globally. It will also bolster KPIT’s expansion into China and strengthen its offerings for trucks, off-highway vehicles, and passenger cars. 

Additionally, KPIT aims to leverage Caresoft’s insights to grow into areas like software benchmarking and downstream implementation services, further enhancing its value proposition to global original equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
