Tata Motors on Monday said retail sales of Jaguar Land Rover fell 5.1% on year to 108,232 units in January-March. Wholesale volumes rose 1.1% to 111,413 units. Sequentially, retail and wholesale sales were up 1.8% and 6.7%, respectively.
The muted quarter comes as JLR grapples with a 25% import duty imposed by the US, prompting a pause in exports of UK-made cars to the country.
For 2024-25(April-March), retail sales were flat at 428,854 units, while wholesale volumes stood at 400,898 units. North America and Europe saw double-digit growth in January-March, but volumes in China slumped 29.4%.
