Infosys Unit to Pay $255,000 to Settle Data Breach Case in US

Infosys Ltd. on Wednesday said its step-down US subsidiary, Infosys McCamish Systems, has agreed to pay $255,000 to settle a data breach case with the Oregon Attorney General’s office. The resolution, under an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance, addresses concerns around potential violations of the Oregon Consumer Information Protection Act and the Oregon Unlawful Trade Practices Act.

In a filing to the exchanges, Infosys said that while settling the case, Infosys McCamish has not admitted to any wrongdoing. The company is required to pay the settlement amount within 30 business days.
