HBL Engineering Gets RDSO Nod For Kavach 4.0

HBL Engineering Ltd. on Wednesday said it has received approval for Version 4.0 of its Kavach Systems from the Research Designs and Standard Organization, the R&D arm of the Ministry of Railways, according to an exchange filing.

With the approval in place, the company will begin deliveries of Kavach 4.0 against its accumulated order book worth ₹37.64 billion. The contracts are expected to be executed over the next two years.

Kavach is an automatic train protection system developed by Indian Railways to prevent collisions and enhance operational safety. It was officially adopted as the national automatic train protection system in July 2020.
