Havells India Ltd. on Thursday said it has received a letter of intent from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority for 50 acres of land to set up an electronics manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh.
The land will be used for future capacity expansion to manufacture consumer goods and home appliances, the company said in an exchange filing. The allotment is part of an industrial cluster being developed by the authority and is subject to state policy and applicable regulatory norms.
The project qualifies for a 75% front-end land subsidy under the 'Uttar Pradesh FDI, FCI, Fortune Global-500 & Fortune India-500 Companies Investment Promotion Policy – 2023', Havells said.
