GMR Airports' April-June Passenger Traffic Up 3.3% Despite Delhi Drag

GMR Airports Ltd. saw a muted 1% rise in passenger traffic in June to 9.79 million, taking the April-June total to 30.16 million, up 3.3% on year, the company said in an exchange filing Wednesday.

The growth was impacted by geopolitical disruptions and runway upgrades at Delhi airport, where traffic in June dropped 5% on year. For the quarter, Delhi’s passenger count fell 1.2%.

Overall growth was supported by international travel, with international traffic rising 4.6% and domestic traffic up 2.9% across the group’s airports in Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
