GMDC Signs 40-year Deal To Supply 150 Million Tonnes Of Limestone

Gujarat Mineral said on Tuesday it has signed a long-term agreement with City Gold Pipes Pvt. Ltd. to supply 150 million tonnes of limestone over 40 years from its upcoming Lakhpat Punrajpur mine in Kutch, Gujarat.

The agreement is part of GMDC’s move to monetise its significant limestone reserves, the company said in an exchange filing.

The supply deal will help City Gold Pipes set up a greenfield integrated mega-capacity cement plant. GMDC added that the project is expected to drive industrial growth in Kutch and create thousands of direct and indirect jobs.
