Private power distribution company CESC Ltd. on Monday said it has entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement with its subsidiary Bhojraj Renewables Energy Pvt. Ltd. to buy 300 MW of wind-solar hybrid power.
The subsidiary will supply the power to CESC at a tariff of ₹3.8 per kilowatt-hour, the company said in an exchange filing. The agreement will become effective after the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission approves it.
CESC has been focusing on green energy, and this agreement is a step in that direction.
