Bharat Forge Unit KSSL Signs MoU With GRSE To Develop Indigenous Marine Engineering Solutions

Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pune-based Bharat Forge Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday with state-owned Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) in Kolkata to strengthen India's capabilities in naval and commercial shipbuilding, the company said in a regulatory press release.

According to the release, the MoU focuses on the development of critical marine engineering components particularly Propulsion Systems, Steering Gear, and Integrated Platform Management Systems. The companies stated this initiative is expected to contribute to the enhancement of the nation’s maritime technological strengths and support “self-reliance in move segment” for long-term operational capabilities.
