Royal Enfield February Sales Rise 11% to 100,905 Units; Board Approves ₹9.58 Billion Expansion

Royal Enfield, the two-wheeler division of Eicher Motors, reported an 11% increase in total motorcycle sales for February, dispatching 100,905 units compared to 90,670 units in the same month the previous year on the back of domestic demand growth, while export volumes showed a marginal decline, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Domestic sales rose 13% year-on-year to 91,248 units in February 2026, up from 80,799 units in February 2025. International business volumes fell 2% to 9,657 units from 9,871 units in the corresponding period last year.

Models with engine capacity up to 350cc accounted for the bulk of volumes, growing 16% to 89,844 units in February from 77,775 units a year earlier. Sales of models with engine capacity exceeding 350cc declined 14% to 11,061 units against 12,895 units in February 2025.

For the financial year-to-date period, Royal Enfield reported total sales of 1,126,325 units, a 24% increase over the 908,879 units sold during the same period in the previous fiscal year. Year-to-date domestic sales increased 24% to 1,006,937 units, while exports grew 27% to 119,388 units. In the cumulative period, the sub-350cc segment grew 27% to 989,118 units, while the segment exceeding 350cc expanded 8% to 137,207 units.

Eicher Motors also announced a capital expenditure plan regarding its manufacturing capabilities. The Board of Directors approved an investment of ₹9.58 billion (₹958 crore) for a brownfield expansion at the Cheyyar manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. The investment aims to increase Royal Enfield’s annual production capacity to 2 million units from the current 1.46 million units. The company stated this capacity addition would be achieved over the next 18 months.
