Vodafone Idea Ltd. reported a ₹71.66 billion net loss for January–March, widening from ₹66.09 billion in the previous quarter. The company has now logged 28 straight quarters of losses. Still, the loss was narrower than a year ago and below analyst estimates.
Quarterly revenue fell 0.9% sequentially to ₹110.14 billion, while full-year 2024–25 revenue rose 2.2% to ₹435.71 billion. The annual net loss narrowed to ₹273.83 billion, down from ₹312.38 billion.
The board approved a ₹200 billion fundraise via a mix of debt and equity to expand 4G and 5G networks. Capital expenditure in the March quarter stood at ₹42.3 billion, with a full-year spend of ₹95.7 billion.
Finance cost rose 9% sequentially to ₹64.71 billion, while marketing spend increased 7.7% to ₹12.06 billion. Average revenue per user rose to ₹175 from ₹153 a year ago. The 4G subscriber base reached 126.4 million, and 5G services are now live in four cities, with plans to reach 17 circles.
The company reduced its bank debt to ₹23.3 billion from ₹40.4 billion a year ago.
