JSW Energy Moves SC Against APTEL Order on Battery Storage Project Tariff

JSW Energy Ltd. on Thursday said its step-down subsidiary, JSW Renew Energy Five Ltd., has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court challenging the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity’s order that had dismissed its plea against the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission.

In January, the regulator had refused to adopt the proposed tariff for the company’s 500 megawatt/1,000 megawatt hour battery energy storage systems project allocated by Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd. JSW Energy later appealed before the Appellate Tribunal, which was dismissed, the company said.
