Jaguar Land Rover, the UK subsidiary of Tata Motors Ltd., has told its retailers and suppliers that parts of its manufacturing operations will resume in the coming days. The country’s biggest carmaker shut most of its factories after a cyberattack in early September, halting production across the UK, Slovakia, Brazil, and India.

The Range Rover-maker said on Monday that as it continues a controlled, phased restart, it is taking steps to recover and resume production of its vehicles. Owned by the Tata group since 2008, JLR has three UK factories, producing around 1,000 cars per day.

The cyberattack hit so hard that the UK government agreed to guarantee a £1.5-billion loan after operations were down for nearly a month. JLR thanked everyone connected with the company for their patience and support, adding that while there is more work ahead, the recovery is well underway and updates will continue.
