JSW Steel Ltd. said late on Friday it has received a demand notice from the Odisha government for ₹14.73 billion over a shortfall in despatches during the fifth year of its lease at the Jajang iron ore block in Keonjhar.The notice, issued on Thursday, covers the period from June 27, 2024 to June 26, 2025 and cites non-compliance with minimum despatch requirements under the Mineral Concession Rules, 2016, the company said in a filing.
