Dilip Buildcon Ltd. has emerged as the lowest bidder for National Aluminium Co. Ltd.’s ₹50 billion project to develop and operate the Pottangi bauxite mine in Odisha, the company said in an exchange filing Monday. The contract will run for 25 years and includes mine development, operations, an overland conveyor corridor, and allied facilities.
Under the terms, Dilip Buildcon will execute engineering, procurement, and construction work over the first three years for around 7 million tonnes at a cost of ₹17.50 billion. Mining operations for the remaining 22 years will cover 77 million tonnes at a cost of ₹32.50 billion, based on the current mining charge of ₹423 per tonne, the company said.
