HPCL Signs 10-year LNG Supply Deal with Abu Dhabi’s ALNG

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has signed a 10-year Sale Purchase Agreement with Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company for the supply of liquefied natural gas, the company informed exchanges in a press release. 

ALNG, a subsidiary of ADNOC Gas, operates across the gas value chain as a large, integrated gas processing and sales company.
Under the agreement, HPCL will receive LNG at its 5 million-tonne-a-year storage and regasification terminal at Chhara in Gujarat, the company said.  

The supplies will support the energy needs of HPCL’s refineries, its city gas distribution network, and demand across
key sectors including fertilisers, power, petrochemicals and other industries, it added..

HPCL said the agreement marks a significant step in strengthening the country’s energy security while advancing cleaner energy use.
