Vedanta Named Preferred Bidder for Andhra Pradesh Manganese Block

Vedanta Ltd. on Thursday said it has been declared the preferred bidder for the Punnam manganese block by the Department of Mines and Geology, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The block spans 152 hectares and is at the G4 stage of exploration, the company said in an exchange filing. The issuance of a composite licence will depend on approvals from relevant government authorities, it added.
