Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. on Friday announced it has expanded its capabilities in the software-defined vehicles space by opening new centres in Germany and Romania. The company said it has set up two automotive delivery hubs in Munich and Villingen-Schwenningen, and an engineering centre in Romania to support global clients in accelerating their shift to next-generation mobility solutions.

The German centres will help automakers develop and roll out software for autonomous driving, infotainment, safety systems, and connected vehicles. Meanwhile, the Romania centre will focus on building advanced software platforms for early-stage development and innovation.

TCS said these facilities are staffed with over 100 professionals and will work closely with more than 2,000 engineers in the company’s global software-defined vehicle network. The team will work on end-to-end product development including digital cockpits, advanced driver assistance systems, and post-launch support.
