Tata Power Company on Monday said its subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with NTPC Ltd to develop a 200-MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy project across multiple locations in India.

The project will integrate solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems, and is expected to be completed within 24 months, the company said in its filing.

Once operational, the project is projected to generate 1,300 million units of electricity annually, offsetting over 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions each year. A key feature includes a four-hour peak power supply commitment with 90% availability during peak demand periods.

Today, shares of Tata Power were at ₹378.95, up 4% from Friday’s close. Financial markets remained closed on Monday due to Ambedkar Jayanti.
