Tata Motors Sees Fifth Straight Monthly Decline In Sales

Tata Motors Ltd. reported a 10% year-on-year drop in domestic vehicle despatches to 67,429 units in May, its fifth consecutive monthly decline. Total despatches fell 8.6% to 70,187 units.

Passenger vehicle sales, which accounted for 60% of the total, fell 11% to 41,557 units domestically, while exports rose 28% to 483 units. EV sales grew 2% to 5,685 units.

Commercial vehicle despatches dropped 5% to 28,147 units, with domestic sales down 9%, but exports rising 87% to 2,275 units.

Small cargo vehicle sales fell 20%, while intermediate light commercial vehicle sales rose 11% to 4,954 units.
