Tata Motors Ltd. on Wednesday launched its new LPO 1622 bus in Qatar through its distributor Al Hamad Automobiles, aiming to strengthen its presence in the West Asia market. The bus is tailored for staff transportation and is the region's first Euro VI-compliant vehicle, the company said in a press release.
The LPO 1622 is available in 65-seater and 61-seater configurations, offering flexibility for varied transport needs. Tata Motors said the bus has been engineered to ensure low cost of ownership.
“West Asia remains a strategic focus for us, where our vehicles continue to deliver value across a wide range of applications,” the company said.
Alongside the new bus, Tata Motors also unveiled its enhanced range of Euro V-compliant Prima heavy trucks for Qatar’s infrastructure and construction sector. The new models include the Prima 4040.K, 4440.S, 4040.T, and 6040.S.
Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle lineup spans over 40 countries and covers everything from sub-1-tonne to 60-tonne cargo vehicles, and from 9-seater vans to 71-seater buses.
