Tata Communications, AWS Tie Up To Build AI-Ready Network In India

Tata Communications Ltd. on Tuesday said it has partnered with Amazon Web Services to build an advanced artificial intelligence-ready long-distance network in India, aimed at accelerating generative AI adoption and cloud innovation.

The high-capacity, resilient network will connect three key AWS infrastructure locations across India and is one of Tata Communications' largest deployments by size, scale, and bandwidth, the company said in an exchange filing.

The network will feature express routes with ultra-low latency, enabling fast, seamless data transfer and processing for AI and machine learning workloads. AWS will use the infrastructure to support Indian businesses in developing Gen-AI applications and training AI models more efficiently.
