Nestle India Ltd. will invest ₹1.05 billion to set up a new production line for Maggi noodles at its Sanand factory in Gujarat, the company said in an exchange filing Wednesday.

The expansion will raise the plant’s annual production capacity to 121,000 tonnes from 100,700 tonnes. The project will be funded via internal accruals and is expected to be completed in the current financial year.

Nestle said the investment is part of its ongoing capital expenditure plan for 2020–2025 to scale up manufacturing capacities through greenfield and brownfield projects.
