Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. on Wednesday said it has expanded solar power capacity at its Kharkhoda and Manesar facilities by 20 MWp and 10 MWp, respectively. With this, the total capacity across its production units has risen to 79 MWp from 49 MWp a year ago.
The automaker plans to ramp up solar capacity to 319 MWp by 2030-31, with a planned investment of ₹9.25 billion, the company said in an exchange filing.
