Maruti June Output Falls 4% As Demand Slows; No Ciaz Production

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.’s total production dropped 4.3% on year to 127,545 units in June, with lower output across both passenger and light commercial vehicles.

Passenger vehicle production fell over 4% to 125,392 units, while light commercial vehicles slipped 0.6% to 2,153 units. Passenger car production, which includes mini and compact models, declined over 16% to 62,564 units.

The company did not produce any units of the Ciaz sedan. Earlier, it reported a 6.3% drop in June sales to 167,993 units, due to weak demand across most passenger segments.
