M&M April-June Net Profit Jumps 32% On Year On Strong Auto, Farm Segment Growth

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. posted a 32% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹34.50 billion for the June quarter, supported by strong sales and double-digit market share gains in both automotive and farm equipment segments. Revenue rose 26% on year to ₹341.43 billion — the highest in nine quarters.

Automotive segment revenue jumped 32% to ₹249.49 billion, driven by a 22% rise in SUV volumes and a 570 bps rise in SUV market share by revenue to 27.3%. The farm equipment division grew 13% on year to ₹91.86 billion, with tractor market share up 50 bps to 45.2%.

EBITDA rose 16% on year to ₹47.95 billion. Automotive EBIT grew to ₹22.21 billion, though the segment’s margin slipped 60 bps to 8.9%. Farm segment EBIT rose to ₹18.19 billion, with margin improving 130 bps to 19.8%.

Total expenses rose 27% on year to ₹304 billion, led by a 36% jump in input costs and an 11% rise in employee expenses.
