Jupiter Wagons Blames Labour Unrest For Jabalpur Unit Shutdown

Jupiter Wagons Ltd. stated on Wednesday that the temporary halt in operations at one of its Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh units was primarily due to labour unrest that began on April 5. The company is currently engaged in discussions with the concerned trade unions to resolve the matter, it said in an exchange filing.

Despite the disruption, the company does not expect any adverse impact on its overall operations, it added. 

"The Management is confident of mitigating any financial and operational implications within the current financial year," it said.
On Tuesday, Jupiter Wagons had attributed the 15–20-day suspension to "unavoidable circumstances". As per information on its website, the company has three units in Jabalpur and five across Madhya Pradesh.
