JSW Infrastructure Ltd. has secured a letter of award to develop container berths at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata under the public-private partnership route, the company said in an exchange filing Monday.
The ₹7.40 billion project involves reconstructing Berth 8 and mechanising Berths 7 and 8 at Netaji Subhas Dock. Construction is expected to take two years, and JSW Infra will be allowed to begin operations during the build phase. The concession period for the project is 30 years.
