JSW Energy Ltd. on Wednesday said its stepdown subsidiary, Energizent Power Pvt. Ltd., has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with NHPC Ltd. for 300 megawatt of inter-state transmission system-connected solar-wind hybrid capacity. The power will be supplied at a tariff of ₹3.49 per kilowatt-hour.
The project, located across Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, is expected to be commissioned within the next 24 months, the company said in an exchange filing.
JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity stands at 29.9 gigawatt, including 12.5 GW operational, 12.8 GW under construction across wind, thermal, and hydro, and a pipeline of 4.6 GW. Its energy storage portfolio includes 29.3 gigawatt-hour, comprising 26.4 GWh from hydro pumped storage and 2.9 GWh from battery energy storage systems.
The company aims to reach 30 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh energy storage capacity by 2029–30, and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
