Jindal Steel Gets 50-Year Mining Lease For Iron Ore, Manganese Block In Odisha

Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. on Thursday said it has received a letter of intent from the Odisha government for a 50-year mining lease for the Roida-I iron ore and manganese block in Keonjhar district.

The block spans 104.84 hectares and has an estimated mineral deposit of 126.05 million tonnes. It also comes with an environmental clearance to mine up to 3 million tonnes annually, the company said in a stock exchange filing.
