IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd. and its IRB Infrastructure Trust collected a combined toll revenue of ₹5.81 billion in May, marking a nearly 9% on-year rise, the company said Monday.
The highest contributor was IRB MP Expressway Pvt. Ltd., which runs the Mumbai–Pune Expressway and the old national highway, clocking ₹1.56 billion in tolls, up 4.5% on year.
IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway Pvt. Ltd. brought in ₹687 million, up 6.5%, while the remaining ₹3.53 billion was collected by IRB’s joint venture projects.
CEO Amitabh Murarka attributed the growth to the vacation season and rising vehicle additions, noting that May saw 450,000 new vehicles added across India. He expects the trend to continue as ongoing projects near completion.
