IOC Signs LOI With Akasa Air For Sustainable Aviation Fuel Supply

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Akasa Air to explore the future supply of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), the company said in a press release 

The agreement outlines a collaborative framework between the two entities. The press release stated that SAF represents a critical pathway for reducing lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions from air travel and will play a key role in the aviation sector’s transition towards net-zero emissions.

Under the LOI terms, the companies will jointly evaluate operational parameters, including potential SAF supply volumes, delivery locations, and implementation timelines, the company said. The collaboration also involves assessing the use of approved sustainable feedstocks and various production pathways, it added.
