Dixon Tech, Inventec Form JV To Make Laptops, Desktops, Servers In India

Dixon Technologies Ltd. said it has signed an agreement with Inventec Corp. to form Dixon IT Devices Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture to manufacture notebooks, desktop PCs, components, and servers in India. Dixon Technologies will hold a 60% stake in the JV, while Inventec will own 40%, the company said in an exchange filing.

Dixon Technologies will have the right to nominate three directors to the board of Dixon IT Devices, while Inventec will nominate two.

“This joint venture marks a significant milestone for Dixon as we expand our portfolio into high-growth segments of notebooks and servers,” said Atul B. Lall, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Dixon Technologies.

Jack Tsai, President of Inventec Corp., said the partnership leverages Dixon’s domestic manufacturing strength and Inventec’s expertise in engineering, supply chain, and systems integration.
