Deepak Nitrite's March-Quarter Profit Slumps 53%, Misses Estimates

Deepak Nitrite Ltd.'s net profit for the March quarter tumbled 53.4% on year to ₹538.7 million, well below analysts’ estimate of ₹1.34 billion. Revenue from operations declined 2.5% on year to ₹6.54 billion. On a sequential basis, however, profit rose more than threefold, and revenue climbed nearly 19%.

Other income grew to ₹189.6 million from ₹173.6 million a year ago.

Total expenditure for the quarter, including finance cost, was ₹6.03 billion, slightly down from ₹6.12 billion a year earlier. Finance cost rose to ₹10.2 million from ₹8.1 million. Tax expense fell to ₹164.7 million from ₹410.4 million a year ago.

For 2024-2025, net profit dropped over 36% to ₹2.76 billion, while revenue declined more than 7% to ₹25.26 billion.
The board has approved a dividend of ₹7.50 a share
