Capri Global Capital Ltd. has raised ₹20 billion through a qualified institutional placement, issuing around 136.5 million shares to institutional investors, the company said in an exchange filing on Thursday. This marks the financier’s first QIP in the past 10 years.

The issue was priced at ₹146.50 per share, a 4.82% discount to the floor price, as approved by the QIP committee during the board meeting held the same day.

The funds will be used to scale operations across lending verticals, widen the company’s reach, invest in AI and data science, and shore up its capital base, Managing Director Rajesh Sharma said.
