Airtel Launches AI-Based Tool To Block Fraud Sites

Bharti Airtel Ltd. on Thursday rolled out a new AI-powered solution that detects and blocks spam and malicious websites for its mobile and broadband users at no extra cost, the company said in a press release.

The solution will be automatically enabled for all users and is designed to block fraudulent websites linked to platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, over-the-top apps, and SMS. The service is currently live in Haryana and will be rolled out across the country soon.

Airtel said online fraud had seen a sharp rise across India in recent days. In response, it has introduced this AI-backed layer of protection to help identify and block such threats in real time.
