ACME Solar Holdings Ltd. on Tuesday said it has fully commissioned its 300-megawatt solar power project in Sikar, Rajasthan, with the final 60 MW coming online on Monday. Earlier in the April-June quarter, the company had commissioned 240 MW of the project.
With this, ACME Solar’s total operational capacity now stands at 2,890 MW, the company said in a statement. The Sikar project, spread over 1,300 acres in Bikaner—one of India's top solar zones—is connected to the Bikaner II substation at 220 kV and is expected to generate around 780 million units annually at a tariff of ₹3.05 per unit. A power purchase agreement for the project is expected to be signed soon.
Separately, ACME Solar said it also commissioned its first wind project—of 50 MW—at Shapar, Gujarat, during the current financial quarter, with the final 3.3 MW turbine going live on Monday. The project is backed by a 25-year PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. and is located in a high wind potential zone.
